Austin Pelton

Austin is the VP of Recruitment for Surgical Sales & Marketing and is primarily client driven working with national high-end surgical device companies as the direct client contact. He is a graduate in the field of Finance from Florida Atlantic University. His career in finance as an Assistant in Wealth Management for Ameriprise involved direct support and management for high level wealth clients.

Austin also obtained his Life Insurance Consultant license with Primerica working with a team of established agents to help provide services to individuals regarding personal finances. Shortly thereafter, he took over as the VP of Recruitment for Surgical Sales & Marketing to oversee the management of clients and lead recruitment operations. Austin was able to receive Rookie of the Year among the First Interview Recruitment Network. Under his tenure the firm also received the 4 Million Dollar Total Network Placement Award.

Nick Pelton

Nicolas is the Recruitment Administrator for Surgical Sales & Marketing he is a candidate driven recruiter tasked with finding top-tier medical sales background. Nicolas graduated with a bachelors in Sociology from Florida Atlantic University. Soon after obtaining his degree, he joined the company as the Recruitment Administrator working alongside Austin Pelton.

Nicolas’s focus is more external and tailored to developing relationships with candidates to provide effective marketing for their candidacy. He has built relationships with candidates ranging from highly specialized talent in medical device to entry level sales background all across the country. Through this Nicolas has been able to effectively utilize and create a national network of recruitment partnering firms to span the company’s outreach and placement volume. His candidates range from Fortune 500 level medical device sales representatives to early floor private start-ups with heavily specialized experience in the medical device field.

Our Story

Surgical Sales & Marketing was started by Austin’s father, Scott Pelton. He had a combined total of 30+ years in the medical device world. His first 10 years were spent as a Med device rep for a company called US Surgical. He worked his way up to an RSM before joining Imagyn as Eastern Area VP Sales Gynecology Devices. Eventually he worked his through to the recruitment side of the business and there he built major start-ups such as Barrx Medical, SI Bone, Medtronic InterStim to name a few.
